About us

SE Building Solutions is an award-winning architectural residential builder delivering custom homes and major renovations across Brisbane and the Southern Gold Coast.

Building an architecturally designed home involves much more than producing plans and appointing a builder. The decisions made during design and pre-construction can affect buildability, pricing, procurement, programme and the client’s experience once construction begins.

Led by licensed builder Stephen Epps, our team works collaboratively with homeowners, architects, building designers and consultants to turn ambitious residential designs into carefully managed, buildable homes.

Our role is to understand the design intent, identify construction considerations and establish a clear pathway from documentation and pricing through to construction and handover.

We deliberately maintain a selective project portfolio so Stephen and the SE Building Solutions team can remain closely involved throughout construction.

After almost a decade in the military, Stephen Epps brought the same discipline, leadership and attention to detail into construction and founded SE Building Solutions. Today, Stephen leads architectural residential projects across Brisbane and the Southern Gold Coast, working closely with clients, architects, building designers, consultants and trades from pre-construction through to handover. An award-winning builder licensed through the Queensland Building and Construction Commission and a member of Master Builders Queensland, Stephen is particularly experienced in complex renovations, architecturally designed homes and projects requiring careful coordination and attention to detail. His approach is straightforward: communicate clearly, solve problems early and build exceptionally well.

Marc Brooks

Marc, a site supervisor at SE Building Solutions, brings nearly 20 years of experience in the building industry, where he has honed an exceptional understanding of best practices across all facets of construction. His meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills ensure that every project meets the highest standards. A natural leader, Marc excels in mentoring younger team members, fostering their growth and contributing to the continued success of the company through his dedication to excellence and education.

Lauren Epps

Lauren is a dedicated Project Manager at SE Building Solutions, fuelled by her passion for the building and construction industry.

With almost 20 years of experience in real estate — including running her own business and managing renovation projects — she brings a unique blend of knowledge, creativity, and enthusiasm to every project.

She holds a Bachelor of Business majoring in Marketing and a real estate licence, and has further honed her skills through studies with HIA Construction and the Interior Design Institute. Lauren also holds a Diploma of Interior Design and a Certificate in Home Staging and Styling, allowing her to bring an elevated design perspective to her project management role.

Her exceptional organisational skills and natural talent for client liaison ensure communication is always prioritised, enabling projects to run smoothly from start to finish. With her deep love for property, design, and real estate, Lauren is an invaluable member of the SE Building Solutions team.
